“The Old Customs House” has an unforgettable and amazing view overlooking the mouth of the Gironde into the Atlantic Ocean. The apartment provides the perfect view for JUST watching. Watching the wildlife, the fishermen & leisure boats going in and out of the small port with the tide rolling in and out is just such a relaxing pleasure.

This 1930’s self catering rental apartment of 96m² is situated on the edge of  “one of France’s most beautiful villages” ( classified and chosen by the french public. At high tide you are only meters away from the water.  You really might feel the view as if you are on a ship on the sea.

Situated on the first floor you will find a large comfortable living room, beautiful and fully equipped built in kitchen-dining room, 2 double bedrooms ( one king and one double),  each with their own bathroom or shower room and separate wc,  separate laundry room, as well as 2 separate entries on to the terrace and then down to the garden. We have renovated the house ourselves.  It is decorated it in the spirit of the 1900-1930’s with a particular original personalized style while keeping in mind all the modern comforts. You can also add a spare bedroom to your rental.  This “Petit Plus” for an extra 1-3 people has a bunk bed with a double bed 140 x 200 on the bottom and a single 90 x 200 on the top. It is available for a minimum stay of 3 days.

The garden is walled in and provides security, intimacy and private parking. There is a covered space to keep your bicycles.

Arrival is from 5 pm and departure by 10 am. We are open all year and have been awarded 4 stars by the national tourist office.

The house is NON SMOKING!  We have provided pots with sand so you can smoke outside.
